And Yet We Do Nothing?

History should be our guide in such troubled times. No country has ever seen a successful “Theocracy”. It is not possible and should not be attempted. Religion is a highly personal and intimate part of a individuals beliefs, and as such is a “breeding ground for Extremism”. Such extreme behavior is often irrational and bias, which is non-conducive to growth and prosperity. The American people are angry about the state of our country. I agree and understand this frustration, it is obvious things need to change and soon. Beginning with President Reagan religious leaders were allowed a “Federal Platform to speak from”. This should not have been allowed. When President Clinton Took office, the GOP started a non-stop attack on the American people and the Clinton’s who were the only Presidential family who “represented the American people” in the last 30 or so years were their main target. Now what is disgusting to me, is that most everyone agrees that former President Bush, was a failure, he is unintelligent and put us in a very difficult place in history. Yet where was the attacks on him? Who shouted “impeachment and actually got hearings?” Well history doesn’t lie, no one did. Now the GOP are at it again this time it will be the “American people and the Obama presidency as targets”.

If we do nothing or say nothing to these “Anti-freedom, Theologists” who wish to “Strip us of our choices, and limit our freedom”, then I say “SHAME ON US!!” Rush Limbaugh and his like, are spreading propaganda that is being disseminated through churches (the biggest lobbying organization in the world) that is for the sole purpose of taking “YOUR RIGHTS AWAY FROM YOU”, AND YET WE DO NOTHING? That in itself is Un-American!! GOP will encourage racial crimes, and crimes against Homosexuality. And we do nothing in essence we are sending a message to future generations “We have no opinion and do not care about your future”. We are so consumed by the “Here and now” syndrome, that anything obvious like “Letting things go until its too late, and there is a Civil War”, is not worth worrying about yet. I see this trend with many parents, who do not wish to “fight with their children over time spent on the Internet”, only to find out later they have gotten themselves into all kinds of destructive behaviors behind their backs. To lazy to take any initiative to be “PROACTIVE, ABOUT THEIR CHILD’S FUTURE”. So what is the difference with current events? The world is begining to see us as a “unstable and dangerous political environment”, yes they see what we refuse to allow ourselves to see.  The GOP leadership of our great country wants to control our lives by means of “Religion” a literal “Control” of what is taught in school, what is socially acceptable, and many other aspects of our daily lives. AND YET WE DO NOTHING? Is anything about “Control” make you feel “Free?” or are you going to sit back and let things be, until they are out of control and its too late? They make up about one third of the population of the United States of America, if the rest of America stands and says “I will not tolerate this any longer”, then they will have no choice in the matter. If we do not start a movement, strong enough to “tell the Govt, and the people” of our great nation that we will not stand for our country to be attacked from within, then we will have no country in the future to be proud of. We will have a “Mirror image of what has occurred in the Middle East”, fighting for hundreds of years over how “Religion and Govt are supposed to work together?” That is insanity.

Our founding fathers knew this to be true, they warned us that for true freedom a “Separation of Church and State must exist” this is part of the foundation that makes our nation free, and strong. And it can be taken away from us by “Religious Extremists”. The very Terrorists we now fight, in this war on terror, are radical religious extremist’s who want Religion to control their govt. The GOP is simply a Terrorist wearing a different costume. This is undeniable because it is the truth. There is no mystery of conflict of the “Truth”, it is what it is and by such we need to put GOP in its place, and get our country back on the path to longevity, and Freedom before its too late.
